Ignatian Summer Prayer
Father, Creator of all, thank You for summer!
Thank you for the warmth of the sun
and the increased daylight.
Thank You for the beauty I see all around me
and for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation.
Thank You for the increased time I have to be with my friends and family,
and for the more casual pace of the summer season.
and the increased daylight.
Thank You for the beauty I see all around me
and for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation.
Thank You for the increased time I have to be with my friends and family,
and for the more casual pace of the summer season.
Draw me closer to You this summer.
Teach me how I can pray
no matter where I am or what I am doing.
Teach me how I can pray
no matter where I am or what I am doing.
Warm my soul with the awareness of Your presence
and light my path with Your Word and Counsel.
As I enjoy Your creation, create in me
a pure heart and a hunger and a thirst for You.
Amen.
and light my path with Your Word and Counsel.
As I enjoy Your creation, create in me
a pure heart and a hunger and a thirst for You.
Amen.

A prayer for my huband
Dear Lord, I lift up my heart to you right now. I realize that I struggle with the way in which I communicate with my husband sometimes. I respond with cold, snippy tones, a reflection of frustration or anger residing in my heart. The frustrations can be from something he did or didn’t do or they might not have anything to do with him at all. I know it is not right in anyway to respond to him with a nasty tone and I know it is not respectful. Please help me to be a wife that is respectful. Transform my heart and help me to control my tone in Jesus name AMEN!

Lent Reflection
Lent is officially over! We are in the Easter Season! Alleluia!
I planned to:
- pray daily during Lent. - Didn't make everyday
-work on my marriage during Lent. - Check!
-attend confession at least once. - Check!
-abstain from meat each Friday. - Check!
All in all...it didn't go too badly!

Catholic Women's Almanac
Thanking God for:
-a napping baby
-my husband's job
-my health
-creativity
Reading:
Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots
by Deborah Feldman
Pondering:
Whether it is a good thing that I am starting to separate my faith filled posts from my regular posts. Why did I find the need to separate things?
Learning:
To crochet again...A friend taught me to crochet right after the earthquake in NY a couple of summers ago. I had been working on a large granny square blanket for the little one. I can't wait to pick it back up again. I went down to my LYS today to get some help.
Memorizing:
Psalm 32:7 You are my shelter; you guard me from distress;
-for my father's health
-for the intentions of the women of #Cathsorority
-for Kevin
-for the conclave and our future Pope
In the garden:
We placed our order for seeds and plants for the raised beds from Burpee. I received notification that our first shipment is on its way.
